This Is What Networking Is All About!

I want to give a special shout-out to fellow CSSE member Ken Knoke, who took it upon himself to organize a get-together for Certified Short Sale Experts during the recent NADP Conference in Tampa.

I thought that was terrific!

Nobody asked him to do it. He just took the initiative to bring members together, share information and talk about the opportunities we’re all seeing.

That’s exactly the kind of thing I’d love to see more of.

One of the biggest benefits of being a Certified Short Sale Expert is the opportunity to develop relationships with other professionals who understand this business.

And as short sales and coordinated sales increase, those relationships may become even more valuable.

Think about the advantages.

You may need someone who can handle short sales in another state. You might be working with a servicer who needs coverage in several markets. You may have a complicated transaction and want to speak with another experienced professional who’s encountered the same problem.

Or maybe another CSSE agent has developed a marketing strategy that’s generating tremendous business and is willing to share what they’ve learned.

That’s what professional networking is supposed to be about.

We’re not all competitors.

In many situations, we can accomplish far more working together than we can individually.

Ken, thank you for taking the initiative. I hope this encourages more of our graduates to organize similar gatherings at conferences and industry events.

And I hope we can do something similar at HIX in November!
